A common motif in my work is the relationship between the female body and the natural world. The women being uninvited from the discussions of Plato’s Symposium suggests that they were banished to the space outside the room, which I interpreted to be nature. My work is inspired by the concept of women wandering and gathering in nature, having their discussions amongst the trees and in fields.
